Week 49, covering December 2-8. Like Week 48, this layout was SO QUICK to put together. Most of my time was spent adding in journaling.
Lots of good everyday stuff: playing at the park, getting sick (boo), a coffee date with the kids, Eliza ringing the Salvation Army donation bell (which she only did for a few minutes, but she was super excited that the Santa-looking guy let her), moving the office, and Jonas pretending to drill. I love all of the journaling I fit in (I took it directly from my documentation from December Daily Doc workshop).
I should also mention that these last few weeks in December are only part of the story; the rest is going in my December Daily. DD is more holiday and story focused (I’m more about the everyday stuff for PL), but there will be some crossover. For example, Eliza’s Winter Program is in both. This documentation focuses on Eliza, the documentation in DD focuses on Jonas being crazy in the audience.
I wrote a bit about our Daily intentions fail. December for us means loosing sleep, not eating well, and swimming in orders. It means stress. We’re working to make sure that this won’t be the case for 2013, but it was the reality for 2012. I tried to be honest about that by documenting the stress.
In case you’re wondering, Eliza made that owl ornament out of a toilet paper roll and washi tape. She’s a mini artistic genius.
I took all this journaling from Jake’s Building Topper Photo Walk post. I printed it off on patterned paper straight from my printer. Tip: print on regular paper first to test, then attach your patterned paper onto the test sheet over the printed words, so you’re sure that the words will print just where you want them.
For the record, Jake thinks that scooter sticker is too girly for his man story. I told him I’d trim out the flowers for him if he really wanted me to. Hah!
I’m so in love with Jake’s photo walk photos. We might have to arrange another Kansas City Blurb Book.
And I finally (gasp!) used some filler bits. It’s only because I accidentally planned for a few photos to go in those spots that were actually from November. Ooops. I really love the clean look, though.
